POST MEDIEVAL SILVER 'NO TENGO MAS QUE DAR TE' POSY RING

Circa 18th century AD. The broad hoop with engraved shoulders each side of the gold inlaid oval bezel and externally bearing the Spanish inscription 'no tengo mas que dar te' (I have nothing more to give you [than this]) in Gothic style lettering. Silver and gold, 9.4 grams, 24.62 mm. overall (Approximate size British P 1/2, USA 8, Europe 17.0, Japan 16).

Condition
Very fine condition.

Provenance
From an old English collection.

Footnotes
A ring bearing this same inscription was recovered from the Spanish Armada shipwreck of Girona, sunk off the coast of Ireland in 1588 AD.
