Anglo-Saxon Saucer Brooch

6th century AD

A bronze saucer brooch with flange to the rim, central field of quadrants with heart-shaped raised motifs, catch and pin-lug to the reverse. 11.9 grams, 29mm (1"). Fine condition.

Provenance
Property of a West Sussex, UK, gentleman; found by his grandfather in West Sussex in the early 1990s.
