Phoenician Ring with Hunting Scene

1st-3rd century BC

A bronze finger ring with scaphoid bezel, intaglio scene with rider on a galloping horse, carrying a spear. 3.54 grams, 23mm overall, 20.55mm internal diameter (approximate size British V 1/2, USA 10 3/4, Europe 24.4, Japan 23) (1"). Very fine condition.

Provenance
Property of a London gentleman; formerly with Mahboubian Gallery, London, UK; acquired before 1972.
