Western Asiatic Old Babylonian Mould for a Plaque

18th century BC

A carved terracotta master for a ceramic plaque depicting a scene of a rider on horseback holding a whip above the animal's rump. 548 grams total, 15cm with stand (6"). Fine condition.

Provenance
From the private collection of Mr S.M, London, 1970-1999.
