Roman Oil Lamp with Lion

1st century AD

A terracotta oil lamp with truncated conical body, circular discus, angular nozzle, volutes at the neck raised concentric circles to the body and a roaring lion leaping left on a ground line in raised relief, single filling hole. 54 grams, 10.2cm (4"). Fine condition.
