Western Asiatic Neo-Sumerian Votive Bead for King Schulgi

A long banded agate votive bead with an inscription for the King Schulgi, according to the inscription the Neo-Sumerian King Schulgi has consecrated for his (own) life (this object) to the god Enlil. 3.96 grams, 50mm (2"). Extremely fine condition, ends chipped. Extremely rare and important.

Provenance
The Signo collection, the property of a West London businessman, formed in the late 1980s-early 1990s; academically researched and catalogued by the late Professor Lambert in the early 1990s; collection number W-428; accompanied by Geologic Report TL005246 by Dr Ronald Bonewitz.
