MEDIEVAL GOLD RING WITH MONOGRAM
12TH-14TH CENTURY AD
1 1/4" (29 grams, 32mm overall, 21 x 18.17 mm internal diameter (approximate size British P 1/2, USA 7 3/4, Europe 17.0, Japan 16)).

A substantial D-section slightly ovoid hoop with dish bezel and stepped rim, inset truncated conical garnet cabochon with monogram composed from 'A P' and possibly other characters.

PROVENANCE:
UK art market, acquired prior to 1980.
