EGYPTIAN JASPER BES AMULET
LATE PERIOD-PTOLEMAIC PERIOD, 664-30 B.C.

A substantial red jasper amulet in the form of the dwarf god Bes, modelled squatting on a rectangular base; circular recess to top of head. 1 1/2 in. (18.7 grams, 39 mm high).

Ex Lacy Scott collection.
