Vintage Greek Style Gold Ring Group

20th century AD or earlier

A mixed group of gold finger rings comprising: one with plain hoop, large disc bezel with filigree coils to the rim, central cell with inset glass gorgoneion mask, bared teeth and protruding tongue; one with swivelling disc bezel and inset silver coin(?) bearded bust to the reverse and squatting nude male with cup to the obverse; one a large hollow-formed hoop with repoussé scrolled wings to the shoulders, cell with inset agate cabochon, intaglio profile male bust with cap and beard, 'ΓΑ[.]ΜΗΥ[.]' legend. 20.1 grams total, 27-28mm (1"). Fine condition. [3, No Reserve]

From the private collection of Edward Lucie-Smith, an English writer, poet, art critic, curator and broadcaster; the collection formed since the 1990s.
