English Medieval Coins - Edward IV - Bristol - Groat

1461-1470 AD

First reign, light coinage, type VII. Obv: facing bust with B on breast and quatrefoils at neck within tressure with EDWARD DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC legend and 'crown' mintmark. Rev: long cross and pellets with POSVI DEVM ADIVTORE MEVM and VILLA BRISTOLL legends for Bristol mint. 2.79 grams. Good fine. Scarce. [No Reserve]
