ENGLISH MEDIEVAL COINS - EDWARD III - DURHAM - FIRST COINAGE PENNY
1327-1335 A.D.
(1.19 grams.).

First coinage, class 15d. Obv: facing bust with +EDWAR R ANGL DNS HYB legend with Lombardic n's and pellet stops. Rev: long cross with small crown at centre and pellets dividing CIVI / TAS / DVNE / LMI legend with Roman N for Durham mint. Good fine. Very rare.

Found Romney Marsh, Kent, UK area.
