Northern Thailand Dragon-Headed Bracelets with Rubies

18th century AD

A matched pair of gold penannular bracelets, each formed using tightly-bound plaited gold wire, terminals formed as the crested heads of makara, their eyes set with rubies. 42.17 grams total, 64-65mm (2 1/2"). Very fine condition. [2]
