Bronze Age Decorated Socketted Spearhead

10th-7th century BC

A bifacial bronze spearhead with leaf-shaped; raised midrib flanked by bands of chevron decoration; tapering conical socket decorated with circumferential bands of chevrons above plain lines, pierced for attachment. 109 grams, 14cm (5 1/2"). Fine condition. [No Reserve]

Provenance
From a Belgium collection; formerly in a German collection; found in north-east Germany in 1930s.
