EGYPTIAN COPTIC MANUSCRIPT
18th-19th century AD

A vellum manuscript hand-bound in wooden boards with leather spine, impressed geometric ornament; the black ink text written in Coptic script with red embellishments; the text in two sections, one written out in left-aligned lines with punctuation, the other at the end of the book in blocks of text aligned both ends; various pen markings and trials to the first section; old sewn repairs to several pages. 1.8 kg, 20 x 18 x 10cm (8 x 7 x 4").

Fair condition; boards repaired with cord; some usage wear and worm damage.
