A large, square-shaped ceramic tile stamped to one face with a rosette bearing an inscription, likely identifying a cohort, people and location, 'COH IIII ????' in raised letters arranged in a roughly circular shape around the perimeter. 10 x 9 7/8 in. (4.2 kg, 25.5 x 25 cm). [No Reserve]

Acquired 1980s-1990s.
Collection of M. Cummings, Lincolnshire, UK.
