Iron Age Celtic Gold Wire Arm Ring

1st century BC

A penannular bracelet of four gold rods braided into a band with fused loop terminals. 57 grams, 85mm (3 1/2"). Very fine condition. A large wearable size.

Provenance
Property of a West Yorkshire collector; acquired from Ancient World, 16 High Petergate, York, UK, in 2002; previously in an old collection formed in the 1970s; accompanied by the original invoice from Ancient World dated 11 March 2002, and an original X-ray fluorescence metal analysis report from Oxford Labs, number 00405-2012VJ.
