Western Asiatic Canaanite Warrior Idol

Early 2nd millennium BC

An elongated slender figure depicted standing with arms outstretched both pierced to hold weapons (now absent), wearing a tall pointed crown, with stylised facial features, tangs beneath the feet. 55 grams, 12cm (4 3/4"). Fine condition.

Provenance
Ex an important Dutch collection; acquired on the European art market in the 1970s.
