Roman Bow Brooch Group

4th-5th century AD

A mixed group of bronze bow brooches comprising: one crossbow brooch with three bulbous terminals, deep bow, footplate with dentilled edge and pin in catchplate to reverse; one brooch with two bulbous terminals, deep bow, decorated footplate and pin in catchplate to reverse. 81 grams total, 62-70mm (2 1/2 - 2 3/4"). Fine condition. [2]
