Egyptian Amenhotep III Vase Fragment with Animals

18th Dynasty, 1390-1353 BC

A turquoise blue glazed composition vessel lip fragment with inlays depicting a scene with a lion attacking a fleeing antelope; mounted on a custom-made stand. 214 grams total, 86mm (3 1/2"). Fine condition.

Provenance
Property of a French gentleman; previously in the Charles Haumont collection, Brussels, Belgium.
